GTB Technologies Latest Data Loss Prevention Release Addresses Key Security Threats & Concerns
GTB Technologies, announces the availability of a major release to its award-winning Data Loss Prevention suite of products, which address key security concerns for The Cloud, Social Networks, Mobile Devices, eDiscovery and Information Rights Management
Today viruses, worms and other malicious applications are currently being utilized to transfer data across a broad variety of protocols. The existing Data Loss Prevention model, which focuses on compliance, is not adequate as the data detection, data discovery and classification capabilities are not accurate nor fine enough to prevent data extrusion.
This release of GTB Technologies state-of-the-art, content-aware Data Loss Prevention/Extrusion Prevention platform, illuminates the detection & protection of intellectual property such as source code, classified information, design documents or any sensitive data; giving an enterprise the ability to prevent unauthorized data extrusion from the network of the most difficult data to detect & protect.
GTB's Data Loss Prevention Suite Latest Enhancements & Products:
Cloud & Virtualization Security
While most Cloud Providers utilize HTTPS to transfer data, some are using SECURE RDP. Such transmissions represent significant risk of data loss since 'content-aware' DLP systems do not have content visibility to such breaches. GTB's DLP suite now provides full support for SECURE RDP; enabling full and accurate protection against policy violations targeted to the Cloud. Organizations can now have full control of the data types that are allowed to move to the cloud and block data that is prohibited. Cloud Providers are now able to deploy DLP for their customers using the GTB VirtualDLP.
Protection for Social Networks
GTB's DLP suite provides full visibility to transmissions over Social Networks. Whether by trusted users, malware or spyware; organizations now have complete content visibility into Social Network postings including and not limited to Instant Messaging (IM) over such sites.
Mobile Device Data Loss Prevention
GTB has extended its Data Loss Prevention Suite to address Mobile Device Data Loss Prevention. Combined with its newly introduced Information Rights Management System, GTB now supports Mobile Device Synchronization, thereby preventing such devices from receiving emails that contain sensitive or secure data. GTB for Mobile Devices supports both POP3 & IMAP, permitting users to be either inside or outside the organizations' perimeter.
Organizations wishing to allow such synchronization can still protect sensitive data when using the GTB Information Rights Management system. Such protected files can be controlled for Access Rights even if these files are sent outside the perimeter.
New eDiscovery System
Enhancements to the GTB eDiscovery system include reporting the location(s) of any violating file on servers, desktops, and laptops. GTB's system utilizes the most cutting-edge, advanced detection proprietary algorithms. Most importantly, the eDiscovery system can monitor such systems/networks and report accurate violations any time a file is saved and/or blocked from saving. This essentially eliminates the necessity to endlessly scan machines for data violations. Combined with GTB IRM, the system is able to automatically enforce Information Rights policies on files that violate corporate or industry data regulations.
Data Loss Prevention Multi-Language Detection
Whether it be Chinese, Japanese, Arabic or Hebrew; GTB's latest DLP enhancements provide a simplification to the accurate detection & protection of an organization's most difficult data to detect; in both unstructured and structured form, in any language.
SDK enhancements now permit GTB Partners to instantly add GTB's Accurate Content-Aware Data Loss Prevention Functions to their offering, without the use or expense of 3rd party file cracking tools.
The Marriage of DLP and IRM
The marriage of DLP & IRM - GTB has integrated its award-winning eDiscovery solution with Seclore FileSecure, the leading information rights management system from Seclore. Enterprises can now benefit from full control of data usage even when the data has left its perimeter.
Combined with its award winning eDiscovery system, GTB is now able to perform Real-Time Data Classification on files and automatically enforce IRM Policies on file content. Data Classification is based on GTB's technically-advanced scanning engine; which can accurately identify policy violations inside the files. Selected File Owners/users may also enforce such policies on their own Data. One of the core benefits of the combined technology is the ability to implement security and control irrespective of the location of the content within or outside the enterprise. Control over usage is extremely granular and includes:
WHO (people/groups, within/outside the enterprise) can use the information
WHAT (view, edit, print, cop, share...) can each person do
WHEN (specific dates, time spans,...) can each person use the information &
WHERE (specific devices, networks, ..) can information be accessed from
